"Paul clearly loves Flores and its people. Thanks to him we were welcomed everywhere we went. I loved that I didn’t have to think about where to eat or stay and could completely relax."

★★★★★ Germany · Aug 2025

"His calm driving style on Flores’s winding roads made us feel safe throughout. He even carved walking sticks for my mum and aunt. We always felt genuinely cared for."

★★★★★ United Kingdom · Apr 2025

"Paul is kind, knowledgeable, patient and professional. If you’ve been tempted by a supposedly cheaper option — don’t. The last thing you want is days stuck with a guide who doesn’t hit the mark."

Getting to Flores

How to reach Labuan Bajo from Europe & beyond

Flores has no direct flights from Europe. The simplest route is to fly into Bali (DPS) and take a short one-hour domestic connection to Labuan Bajo (LBJ). Two hubs now offer direct flights into Flores.

Via Bali (DPS) — most popular

Fly to Bali from any major hub, then connect to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) — multiple daily flights, around 1 hour.

Direct: Singapore (SIN) → LBJ

Scoot operates direct flights Thursday & Sunday. Smoothest hub for European and US travellers.

Direct: Kuala Lumpur (KUL) → LBJ

AirAsia Monday & Friday. Note: KUL has two terminals — allow 3 hours if transiting between KLIA and KLIA2.

Also good: Istanbul, Tokyo, Seoul

All connect to Bali with daily flights. Great options for travellers combining Indonesia with other destinations.

The Daily Telegraph — November 2024

"A Flores-based operator that knows the island well — tours are highly customisable, and the 500-mile road journey from Labuan Bajo to Maumere is the top pick."
